Overview

Learning Disabilities are neurological disorders that influence how individuals learn and process information. They manifest in difficulty with reading, writing, math, and language skills, memory, attention, and organization. Learning Disabilities are significant because many individuals with these disorders are of average or above-average intelligence and can make strides in school and life with the right support, resources, and accommodations. Learning Disabilities can be managed with educational and psychological interventions such as individualized education programs, therapies, and accommodations. Furthermore, proper awareness, diagnosis, and treatments of Learning Disabilities are essential in order to ensure that the individual reaches their full potential.
