Behavioral Disorders
Behavioral disorders are a type of mental disorder that affect a person's emotional and social functioning. They are characterized by disruptive behavior that interferes with daily activities, relationships, and functioning in society. Examples of behavioral disorders include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder. Behavioral disorders can be treated effectively with psychotherapy, medication, or a combination of both. With proper treatment, those living with a behavioral disorder can lead productive lives and form healthy relationships.
