Overview

and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurological condition which affects a person's ability to concentrate and stay focused, as well as manage emotions and impulses. It affects both adults and adolescents, and can have significant impact on a person's life. ADHD is treated with medication, lifestyle changes, education, and/or psychotherapy. Lifestyle modifications such as regular exercise, healthy eating, adequate sleep, and stress management, can help manage symptoms. Education for both the person with ADHD and their family about the condition can help everyone better understand ADHD, and learning strategies and coping mechanisms to better manage the condition. Psychotherapy can help people learn how to reduce impulsivity and manage emotions. ADHD affects people of all ages and backgrounds, and it's important to understand the condition and how to manage it. With the proper treatment and support, individuals with ADHD can lead productive and successful lives.
