As well, a positive and supportive home environment is key to healthy adolescent development, along with other protective factors such as strong relationships with adults, positive peer relationships, and engagement in meaningful activities. Adolescence is a critical time for promoting positive health and development. Adolescents need access to resources, support, and respect to enable them to successfully make the transition to adulthood.
