Cervical Cancer Symptoms
Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that develops in the cells of the cervix, the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. It is one of the most common types of cancer among women worldwide. Symptoms of cervical cancer often do not appear in the early stages and can include abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain and pain during intercourse. It is important to recognize these symptoms and seek medical advice as early detection and treatment can save lives. Cervical cancer is usually caused by a virus called the human papillomavirus (HPV). Vaccination against HPV is the best way to prevent cervical cancer and regular screening tests are recommended for early detection.
