Stem Cells
Stem cells are special cells found in most multi-cellular organisms that have the ability to differentiate into multiple specialized cell types and self-renew. They play an important role in the body's ability to regenerate and repair itself. Stem cell research has opened up the possibility for many new treatments for a variety of diseases and conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and even diabetes. Stem cells may also be used to create organs and tissues for transplantation and have the potential to revolutionize the entire field of medicine.
