Genetic Biomarkers
Genetic biomarkers are genetic sequences or indicators used to measure an individual's biological state and predict the likelihood of developing a disease. They can be used to monitor the progression of a disease, distinguish between various forms of the same disease, and identify individuals at risk of developing a particular condition. By leveraging advances in genetic technologies, scientists are able to identify the biomarkers that are associated with certain diseases and use them to diagnose, monitor and personalize treatments. This has opened up possibilities for more effective and personalized treatments for many medical conditions. In addition, genetic biomarkers can be used for screening in the early stages of disease, helping to detect the presence of a condition before symptoms appear. This ability to detect a disease early can lead to earlier intervention and improved outcomes.
