Overview
Cancer therapy is a broad term used to describe the various treatments used in the fight against cancer. These treatments may involve surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy, as well as combinations of various therapies, depending on the individual situation. The main aim of cancer therapy is to eliminate or reduce the cancer’s ability to grow, spread, and replicate. This is done by either killing the cancer cells, or stopping them from multiplying, or a combination of both. The ultimate goal is to provide a patient with the best chance of recovery. Cancer therapy is a crucial component of the battle against cancer, and its importance in improving the chances of survival cannot be understated.
