Overview
Cancer cells are abnormal cells that grow and reproduce uncontrollably, bringing about changes in their behavior and functions. They often interfere with normal cell division and the body's natural ability to dispose of damaged cells. Cancer cells form clumps (known as tumors) and can spread via the blood or lymphatic system to other parts of the body, leading to potentially serious health complications. Early detection is important for successful treatment and can even help to prevent the spread of the disease. Improved understanding of the various treatments and their applications, both conventional and alternative, will help to increase the chances of successful outcomes.
