Infant Feeding
Infant feeding refers to the process of providing nutrition to an infant during the early stages of its life. It is an essential part of the growth and development of a baby as well as a fundamental part of nurturing and providing a loving environment. Breast milk is considered to be the optimal nutrition for an infant due to the high levels of essential vitamins and minerals, as well as its easy digestibility and protective properties for a baby’s immune system. Artificial infant feeding is also an option, usually in the form of infant formula. It is specially designed to meet the nutritional requirements for a growing infant providing similar levels of nutrients as breast milk. Infant feeding is important for proper growth and development and should be tailored to the individual needs of each baby based on the advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
