Pediatric Hypertension
Pediatric hypertension is a condition in which children experience abnormally high blood pressure. It is a potentially serious condition that can lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular and other diseases if left untreated. The precise cause of pediatric hypertension is often unknown, but it is often associated with genetic factors, certain medical conditions, and lifestyle factors such as obesity, poor nutrition, and lack of physical activity. Pediatric hypertension is typically managed through lifestyle modifications, such as maintaining a healthy weight, exercising regularly, and following a heart-healthy diet. In some cases, medication may also be prescribed if lifestyle changes are not sufficient. Early recognition and treatment of pediatric hypertension is critical to ensure that children remain healthy throughout their lives.
