Congestive Heart Failure
Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a serious condition in which the heart cannot pump enough blood and oxygen to the body's organs and tissues to meet its needs. CHF results in an accumulation of fluid in the body, which can lead to a variety of symptoms, including shortness of breath, fatigue, and swelling (edema). CHF is a leading cause of hospitalization in the United States and is associated with a significant risk of death. Treatment focuses on lifestyle modifications and medication to reduce symptoms and improve heart function. Early diagnosis and treatment of CHF is essential to help manage this condition, prevent further damage to the heart, and reduce the risk of complications.
