Pharmacokinetics
Pharmacokinetics is the study of how drugs, chemicals, and other substances move through the body, and how they are metabolized and excreted. It helps to answer questions like how long it takes for a drug to reach a certain level in the body, how long it takes for the body to metabolize and excrete a drug, and what factors can alter the pharmacokinetic process. Pharmacokinetics helps to inform decisions about which drugs to use, how long to use them, what dose should be used, and how to adjust dosages for different individuals. It is an important tool for understanding how drugs work and for improving the safe and effective use of medications.
