Pathology

Pathology is the scientific study of disease, a branch of medicine which involves investigating possible causes of a person's illness and making a diagnosis. Pathology can refer to either the study of disease in general or the specific examination of a sample of tissue from a patient. It encompasses the diagnosis, study and research of many different diseases, such as cancer, infections and cardiovascular diseases.
