Biotechnology Bioengineering
Biotechnology and bioengineering are two fields of science which involve the application of living organisms and technology to produce products of value. Examples of biotechnology include genetic engineering in agriculture and medicine, while bioengineering involves the design and manufacture of medical devices, such as pacemakers and artificial organs. The combination of biotechnology and bioengineering has resulted in the production of life-saving and life-enhancing products, such as insulin, antibiotics, and vaccines. With the development of novel technologies, biotechnology and bioengineering will continue to yield new products and solutions which can benefit humanity.
