Biosemiotic Analysis of Gene Regulation
Biosemiotic analysis looks into how biological systems like genes are regulated, mainly through the use of signs that can be either conscious or unconscious in nature. This analysis is of great importance to understand how gene expression affects the overall development of an organism at micro and macro scales. It also helps with the development of diagnostics and therapeutics since it informs us about how gene expression is regulated on a cellular level. Additionally, biosemiotics can be used to study the intricate relationships between cells, organisms and the environment, helping us better comprehend how organisms adapt to change.
