Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical engineering is an interdisciplinary field that combines engineering principles with medical and biological sciences to design, develop, evaluate, and monitor healthcare and diagnostic systems, instruments, and technologies. These technologies can improve healthcare delivery, while helping to reduce the cost of healthcare. Examples of biomedical engineering applications include engineering prosthetic limbs, developing medical imaging technologies, and creating artificial organs. Biomedical engineering is an important field that can make a big impact in the lives of people with disabilities, assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, as well as create more efficient and intelligent healthcare systems.
