Biological Activity
Biological activity is the capacity of living organisms, including plants, animals, bacteria, and fungi, to carry out metabolic processes and react to their environment. Biological activity is important for many aspects of life, including respiration, digestion, reproduction, and cell growth. Biological activity is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of an organism’s body and organs, as well as the production of energy through the process of photosynthesis. As such, understanding and measuring biological activity is key to understanding and preserving the health and vitality of all organisms. Studies of biological activity have wide-ranging applications in the fields of medicine, environmental science, and food science.
