Prediabetes Treatment
Prediabetes is a condition in which a person's blood sugar levels are abnormally high, but not quite high enough to be diagnosed with diabetes. Prediabetes treatment is the set of lifestyle, dietary and/or medication changes which can help to delay or prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes. Such treatments — including healthy diet, moderate physical activity, and, when necessary, medications — can help individuals maintain healthy blood sugar levels and reduce their risk of diabetes-related complications. Prediabetes is also a great opportunity to limit the risk of developing other conditions like heart disease and stroke. With proper management, individuals with prediabetes can lead healthy, productive lives.
