Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants and other organisms convert light energy into chemical energy and then store that energy. This process occurs in plants and other photosynthetic organisms, such as algae and cyanobacteria. Photosynthesis is essential for life on Earth as it provides energy for organisms to survive and help maintain the balance of the Earth’s atmosphere by removing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. Photosynthesis is important to humans for multiple reasons: it is the primary source of oxygen for us to breathe, it is a natural source of food for us to consume, and it is also a means of mitigating the effects of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
