Continuous Glucose Monitoring

Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is a medical device that measures changes in glucose levels in the body over extended periods of time. It is an invaluable tool for those with diabetes, especially those with Type 1, to help maintain proper blood glucose levels. It allows users to assess trends in glucose levels throughout the day and over days, allowing for more tailored management of glucose levels. CGM also allows for the detection of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) earlier, helping to prevent major health complications such as seizures, coma, and even death. In addition, CGM can also be used to detect high blood glucose levels, helping to prevent long-term diabetic complications.
