Overview

Global Mental Health is an important, and rapidly growing field of study that seeks to understand how to improve mental health and well-being across the globe. It studies risk factors, protective factors and other factors that influence mental health outcomes, aiming to help us better understand and therefore aid prevention and treatment of mental health issues. This knowledge is then used to develop and implement public health strategies to reduce the burden of mental health issues and promote mental health across the world. Global Mental Health is an increasingly relevant and important field of study, as mental health issues are found to be on the rise across the world and the awareness of such issues is also growing.
