Eating Disorders
Eating Disorders are a group of serious conditions that affect the way someone eats. It can include severe overeating, severe restriction of food intake, or a combination of both. People with eating disorders may experience severe physical and psychological symptoms. Eating disorders can lead to long-term health complications, such as malnutrition, organ damage, and even death. Early intervention is key in helping people with an eating disorder recover. Treatment may include psychotherapy, nutritional counseling, and in some cases, medication. Eating disorders are treatable, and with the right support, people are able to get better and go on to lead healthy, happy lives.
