Dementia

Dementia is a condition that affects overall cognitive functioning and is a symptom of many neurological diseases. It is characterized by memory loss, difficulty with problem solving, decreased language abilities and changes in behavior. Dementia is a progressive condition and can be debilitating; it is often associated with aging, but can also occur in younger people. Early diagnosis and treatment are important for managing symptoms and providing support for those affected by dementia. There is currently no cure for dementia, but treatments and lifestyle changes can slow the progression and provide better quality of life for those affected.
