Cognitive Heuristics
Cognitive heuristics are mental shortcuts used by the brain to make decisions quickly and intuitively. They help us to make sense of the world by allowing us to simplify complex decisions and situations. Cognitive heuristics have applications in a variety of fields, particularly in psychology and behavioral economics. By improving our understanding of how these mental shortcuts are used, researchers are able to better design interventions to help people make wise decisions in their daily lives. Additionally, cognitive heuristics can be used in marketing and advertising, to gain insight into consumer behavior and tailor campaigns to maximize effectiveness.
