Overview

Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is a progressive form of neurological degeneration that primarily affects elderly individuals and leads to memory loss, behavioral changes, and general cognitive decline. Diagnosis of AD requires a comprehensive medical evaluation, including physical exam, neuropsychological testing, and a review of medical history. Management of AD can involve medications to improve symptoms, psychological interventions to manage behavior changes, and lifestyle modifications to maintain quality of life. Early diagnosis and management of AD is critical to slowing the progression of the disease and maximizing quality of life in affected individuals.
