Alzheimer s Disease
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, degenerative neurological disorder, commonly found in the elderly, that causes memory loss, confusion and difficulties with problem-solving and communication. It is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States and the most common cause of dementia, with over 5 million American's living with the disease. There is no known cure for Alzheimer's, but treatments can help manage symptoms and slow the rate of decline. Early detection and diagnosis is an important step in properly managing the disease and can improve the quality of life for those living with Alzheimer's.
