Methanol
Methanol, also known as methyl alcohol, is a type of biofuel derived from natural gas and renewable resources, such as biomass. Due to its low toxicity, high energy density, and low cost, it is considered an attractive and viable alternative to conventional gasoline and diesel. Methanol can be used in various applications, including in cars, boats, trains, airplanes, and power plants. It is also used as a fuel for engines and turbines, as a component of domestic and industrial heating systems and storage systems, and as a raw material for the production of chemicals and biodiesel. Methanol is a clean-burning, efficient fuel that can significantly reduce emissions and improve air quality. The improved air quality, in addition to its availability and cost effectiveness, make methanol an attractive option for many industries.
