Drug Addiction
Drug addiction is a condition where an individual is reliant on the continuing use of drugs, due to the physical and psychological effects it has on their body and mind, regardless of any negative consequences. Drug addiction can lead to serious health problems as well as criminal, social and financial issues. Treatment options vary depending on the severity of the addiction but typically involve methods such as behavioural therapy, support groups and medication. Drug addiction has become a growing health crisis and there is a need for increased awareness and education in order to reduce its prevalence.
