Air Pollution
Air Pollution is the presence in the atmosphere of contaminants such as dust, gases, smoke, or microorganisms that can cause harm to humans and other living organisms, damage the environment, or deteriorate our quality of life. It is a major problem in many countries and has long-term health and environmental consequences. Air pollution can be caused by a variety of sources, including industrial processes, motor vehicle emissions, residential heating and cooking, and natural sources, such as dust storms, wildfires and volcanic eruptions. The effects of air pollution include respiratory illnesses, asthma and other respiratory diseases, increased risk of heart attack and stroke, and decreased crop yields. Improving air quality by reducing air pollution is a crucial step towards improving human health and protecting the environment.
