Plant Energy Production
Plant energy production is the process by which plants convert light energy from the sun into chemical energy in the form of sugar molecules. Plants use this energy to power growth and development as well as to fuel metabolic activities. Plant energy production is an essential part of life on earth and underpins many of the planet’s ecosystems. It is also key to the production of food, fiber, and other products that are currently in high demand. Therefore, plant energy production is an important source of renewable energy and has the potential to significantly reduce human reliance on fossil fuels.
