DNA Nanotechnology

DNA nanotechnology is a field of biotechnology that uses strands of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) as a nanoscale building material. This technology has applications in the development of therapeutics, diagnostics, and drug delivery, as well as in nano-fabrication, nanomachines, and nanomaterials. DNA nanotechnology allows scientists to design and assemble rigid, two-dimensional and three-dimensional structures with precise nanoscale components. These structures can be used to control the behavior of molecules and cells, which can lead to advances in fields such as medicine and materials science. The potential of DNA nanotechnology is immense, with potential applications ranging from medical diagnostics to nanomachine fabrication.
