Anisotropic Metal Nanoparticles

Anisotropic metal nanoparticles are particles composed of atoms of various metals that are arranged in an anisotropic, or asymmetric, configuration. These nanoparticles have a range of unique physical and chemical properties that make them useful in a variety of applications. They are particularly useful in medical and energy technologies due to their ability to absorb, refract, and reflect light. In medical applications, they can be used to target and destroy specific cells, such as cancer cells, while leaving healthy cells unharmed. In energy technologies, they can be used to direct, capture, and store energy from the sun and other sources more efficiently. Anisotropic metal nanoparticles are an innovative and versatile material with a wide range of potential applications.
