Overview

Pharmaceutical research and technology is the field concerned with the discovery, design, synthesis, formulation, and manufacture of medicines, together with the analytical and process methods used to develop and produce them. It spans the identification of drug targets, the design of new molecules, the development of dosage forms, and the engineering techniques that turn laboratory compounds into safe, stable, and effective products. Advances in this area aim to improve drug efficacy, quality, and accessibility while addressing the underlying causes of disease.
