Cell Adhesion
Cell adhesion is a process in which cells interact with one another and with the extracellular matrix (ECM) to form tissue. It is essential for a cell's normal functioning, including movement, development, differentiation, and communication. Cell adhesion is an important part of many physiological processes, involved in wound healing, immune response, and morphogenesis. It also plays a key role in diseases such as cancer and inflammation. Several factors influence cell adhesion, such as the composition of the ECM and the type of cell-cell interaction. Various techniques have been developed to study cell adhesion, which can provide insights into the underlying mechanisms and possible treatments for various diseases.
