Overview

Anxiety is a common psychological disorder characterized by feelings of fear, worry, and unease. It is an intense, excessive and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Common symptoms of anxiety can include restlessness, difficulty concentrating, muscle tension, and insomnia. Anxiety can have a great impact on an individual's functioning and often leads to disrupted daily activities. Treatment options, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, lifestyle changes, and medications, can help to reduce symptoms and improve functioning. By addressing an individual's anxiety, it can improve their quality of life.
