ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a mental health disorder that is characterized by difficulty in sustaining attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior. It is one of the most commonly diagnosed mental disorders among children, and can also occur in adults. Symptoms of ADHD include difficulty paying attention to tasks, difficulty controlling impulsive behaviors, excessive talking, easily getting distracted, difficulty taking turns, and difficulty following instructions. Treatment for ADHD includes behavioural interventions, medication, and lifestyle changes. Treatment may help decrease symptoms and improve functioning in day-to-day activities and quality of life.
