Zoonoses

Zoonoses are diseases that can be spread from animals to people. They can include bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections. Zoonoses are an important public health issue, as they can cause serious and even fatal illnesses in humans. Many zoonotic diseases are preventable through simple hygienic practices such as washing hands after handling animals, avoiding contact with sick or dead animals, and regular veterinary check-ups of domestic animals. Early diagnosis and treatment of zoonotic diseases is key to improving outcomes for humans and animals alike.
