Wild Vertebrates

Wild vertebrates are animals with a backbone (vertebrate) that live in the wild, rather than being in captivity. They are an important component of the global biodiversity and play a vital role in maintaining a healthy environment. Wild vertebrates are integral to the functioning of food webs, nutrient cycling, and other ecological processes. They are also an important source of food for humans, and their presence is necessary for the continuation of stable ecosystems. Additionally, wild vertebrates can be used for sport, providing recreational activities for people. Therefore, the conservation of wild vertebrates and their habitats is essential for the continued health of the environment.
