Tasmanian Devils
Tasmanian devils are small, carnivorous marsupials native to Australia and the largest extant carnivorous marsupial in the world. They are famous for their black fur and aggressive behavior. Tasmanian devils are important to the Australian ecosystems as they help to keep the balance of populations of small and medium-sized animals. They are also important to humans because they are a popular tourist attraction and a valuable source of income for the area. In recent years, Tasmanian devils have become endangered due to a fatal facial tumor disease. Conservation efforts are underway to protect populations from the disease, which has decreased their numbers in the wild.
