Schistosoma Haematobium

Schistosoma haematobium is a species of parasitic blood fluke that affects humans, with major health impacts in Africa. It is contracted through contact with contaminated water, and can cause schistosomiasis, an intravascular parasitic disease that can damage major organs. Treatment is available and prevention measures, such as improving access to clean water and sanitation, are strongly recommended. Schistosoma haematobium is an important public health threat, and its impact on the health of individuals must not be overlooked.
