Salamanders
Salamanders are amphibians that are found in various parts of the world. Although there are over 500 species of salamanders, the most recognizable is the axolotl, which is a popular pet. Salamanders are important in the ecosystem as both predators and prey, as they help to maintain a healthy balance of the food chain. They also have great ecological value, as they play a role in decomposition and nutrient cycling in wetlands. Moreover, salamanders have been used in medical research to study spinal cord regeneration, and they can also be used as indicators of ecosystem health, since they are sensitive to changes in their habitat.
