Raptors
Raptors are a group of birds of prey such as eagles, hawks, and falcons, which amongst animal species are known for their sharp vision and powerful talons. Raptors are important in maintaining balance in the food chain, as they are apex hunters, meaning they consume weaker animals or those that are too ill to defend themselves. Raptors are also of great value to humans; they help to limit the spread of disease by controlling rodent populations, and can be trained to hunt and detect other rodents and pests. Raptors are of significant ecological, economic and scientific value, and are a vital part of our environment.
