Prehistoric Animals

Prehistoric animals are animals that lived during the geological time before the emergence of humans. These animals have left an invaluable fossil record, providing us an insight into the ancient ecosystems and life forms of the past. Prehistoric animals forms the foundation of fields such as geology, evolutionary biology, wildlife conservation and even paleontology. Scientists are able to study the fossil records to better understand the past and make inferences about the future. Prehistoric animals provide an important reminder of the changing nature of life on Earth, with their presence giving us a window into a time before humans.
