Otters
Otters are semi-aquatic mammals that can be found in or near bodies of water in many parts of the world. They are a critically important species due to their role in maintaining healthy aquatic ecosystems. Otters are highly carnivorous, with diets consisting mostly of fish, crabs, and other small invertebrates. They are also incredibly efficient predators that help to maintain balanced populations of prey species. In addition, they also play an important role in controlling the spread of disease, by eating, and thus eliminating, infected animals from the ecosystem. Outside of their importance in the wild, otters are also celebrated for their playful and curious nature, making them excellent ambassadors for conserving and protecting their environments.
