Leopards
The leopard (Panthera pardus) is a medium-sized wild cat of the family Felidae. It is native to Africa and eastern and southern parts of Asia. Leopards are unique because of their unusually wide range of coat colors and other physical characteristics, allowing them to adapt to a wide range of habitats, from deserts to rainforests. They are also well known for their intelligence and ability to hunt from trees. Leopards play an important role in maintaining the balance of their ecosystems by preying on smaller animals, thus preventing the overpopulation of certain species. As a result, they are a keystone species, essential to the overall health of their environments. Additionally, leopards are often used in education and conservation efforts to raise awareness of their importance and to promote conservation action.
