Helminths
Helminths are parasitic worms that can infect humans and cause a wide range of diseases. They are often divided into the categories of flatworms (e.g. tapeworms) and roundworms (e.g. hookworms). Helminths can cause various types of infection in humans, including intestinal infection and skin infection. Left untreated, these infections can cause significant health problems, including malnutrition, anemia, and impaired growth and development. Fortunately, helminths can be treated with anthelminthic medications, which can help to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life. Proper hygiene practices are important to help prevent helminth infection.
