Elodontoma

Elodontoma is a genus of marine worms belonging to the Phylum Annelida. They are widely distributed in the world's oceans, and are an important link in food webs. Elodontomas can be found in intertidal and shallow subtidal zones, and are generally found in sandy or muddy substrates. They feed on small organic particles, such as bacteria and algae. These worms are important for understanding the structure and dynamics of marine ecosystems, as well as for understanding the biogeography of species. They are also important for understanding the effects of climate change on marine habitats and organisms. Elodontoma have been used in a variety of laboratory experiments, helping to further our knowledge of the physiology and ecology of marine worms.
