Coyotes

Coyotes (Canis latrans) are medium-sized mammals native to North and Central America. They are typically about the size of a medium-sized dog, measuring in at roughly three feet tall, and weighing thirty to forty pounds. Coyotes are important members of the ecosystem and help control the populations of rodents, insects, and other small animals. They are also adaptable and can survive in both rural and urban areas. Coyotes are known for their distinctive howls, which can be heard echoing through the night in many regions. These animals play an important role in the cultural and spiritual traditions of many Native American tribes.
