Archosauria

Archosauria is an order of prehistoric reptiles that includes some of the most iconic animals to have ever lived, including alligators, crocodiles, dinosaurs, and pterosaurs. It is an ancient and diverse group that has been fundamental in the understanding of vertebrate evolution and biogeography. Archosaurs have a variety of uses in modern science, including providing information on geology and climate change. In addition, they are very important in predicting and managing the spread of certain diseases. Finally, the fossils of archosaurs provide abundant and important information about the evolution of the Earth’s biodiversity.
